Caring Crafters

A group for women that serves others through creativity.

CARING CRAFTER’S MINISTRY

Our goal is to reach out to our Church members and local communities to support and minister to others by spreading the Good News as we are called according to God's purpose and will. We do this by staying actively involved in friendship, discussions, prayer, Bible and positive readings, and keeping busy to promote the goals and plans of First Baptist Church of Estero.

CARING CRAFTERS MEET EVERY TUESDAY FROM
9:30 AM-12 PM IN THE EDUCATION BUILDING!

Group focus during the first hour is devotional and prayer. Then we break out into different areas where we work on a variety of projects. There are ongoing items being made for the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child project. Some may choose to join the card making or jewelry class. Others help sew small items for donation to Hope Hospice or Golisano Children's Hospital. Where there's a need, the Caring Crafters jump in. We would love for you to join us and participate in any way you can.

This is a time to build friendships, encourage and learn from one another, and bless our local community. No experience? No problem. We would still love for you to join us and
participate in any way you can.

Who knows? You may even find a new friend!

“Doing nothing for others is the undoing of ourselves.”

– Horace Mann

What We Do

Currently, our crafters are working on making items for Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes, Joanne’s House, and the troops overseas.

Post Surgical Pillows

These small pillows are handmade and then delivered to Health Park Hospital at no cost to them. The pillows are given to patients after surgery, such as Caesarean Sections and Mastectomys, to assist in the recovery process.

Throw Fleece Blankets

These blankets range in size to fit patients, ages birth to early 20s, in the pediatric oncology unit of Health Park Hospital. These blankets provide warmth while in the hospital and then are given to the patients when they leave to continue to provide warmth wherever life takes them.

Flannel Hearts

The flannel hearts we make are for the NICU at Health Park Hospital. Each mother receives two hearts and she constantly rotates them from lying on her chest to laying under her baby in the incubator. This process allows the baby to become familiar with their mother’s scent and to bond with them.
